Folks: I’ve been very sick with a sinus infection for over two weeks, and right before my PhD exams to boot! I will return to posting at the end of May.

The photo on the left is one of many great photos that Luna took for us at our wedding party. We’ll be putting all 100+ of them on line sometime soon, so keep checking here. In other news, überculture members are going across the country on another Wal-Town Tour and are trying to raise cash, so if you’re reading this and are itching to donate to something worthwhile, visit the Wal-Town Site. We’ve raised $5 out of a goal of 5,000 so far…. But alas, things will be slowing down for me soon, I just had my last class of the semester and of my MA in general, last night, and now I have two papers to write and I’m done. By the 18th I need to write one 25 page paper, one 15 pager and hand in my 25 page BBC project. Then I go in for a little surgery, and voila, it’s Holiday time! It’s snowing beautifully here in Montreal, signs that winter has thus arrived. So two days before svetla and i are leaving for europe i get a call from my travel agent in vancouver telling me that varig, the airline i booked with to go from london to sao paulo with on august 6th, has gone belly-up. ticketes may be refunded, so hopefully i get my $2,000 back, but needless to say, i’m worried that i may not make the conference (visible evidence XIII) to give my breathtaking presentation on activist documentary and emerging social and IT networks. oh the troubles of the academic elite/white privileged globe trotters. and you thought YOU had problems.

In this first entry of temporarilyme v.4.1, i would like to start by saying thank-you to the hundreds of thousands of supporters who have waited patiently for my meak return to the world wide web. Now back, i pledge to offer up weekly blog drivel, old sentimental poetry, poorly conceived photography, uninformed opinions, political diatribes, and the odd film review. I hope you are up for it, world.
